Great antivirus in combination with Adware Removal Tool and Web Companion.
The review of this product helped me decide to download this free product. The Chrome and Firefox extensions are great too. I wonder if there's an APK for Android?

A good product that totally infuriates by trying to by default install unwanted software.

wouldnt recomend it until a faster version comes out..
does what its supposed to do, but slows the pc down and has advertising pop up every ten minutes, which can really get you in trouble if you re playing in a group in an mmorpg.

Very bad, sucker install process..
Install process tries to trick you to add software, not wanted. The chat application, GeekBuddy, it says is to provide support is a constant pop-up trying to get you to add more software and is difficult to uninstall. Ad-Aware finds and removes spyware, but the free version tries to make money off of selling you more services by deceptive install boxes and descriptions.

Slowed downloads to a crawl.
Once I installed this software, webpages like Dropbox became practically unusable --- any time one clicked to either download or just view/listen to a file, Chrome would simply freeze up for a minute or two (depending on the file size) before giving any response. Very frustrating. Once the software (including the separate web add-on) was removed, the problem disappeared.

Excellent and easy to use..
The best free real-time scanner there is. It detects more in the wild viruses than either AVG or AVAST! . It has a good interface and is easy to use. Cons: Still not as good as Kaspersky

I like this one..
Works smooth in the backround and updates automatically. Also I checked manually and it is already updated.It asks permission to display the content on questionable web pages.
Excellent protection, the interface is easy to understand and use, perfect price-quality for the paid version. Cons: Good program, no cons!

Free and love it!.
It found a number of warnings to be wary of and found 2 Trojans that avg didn't, quick scan as well, highly recommend it! Cons: nothing whatsoever

Free and fantastic.
Ad-Aware Antivirus Free + is effective and easy to use. Keeps my computer safe and working! It does have a Screen called a notifier when it is updating itself but this is hardly a major nag. Cons: Please try to make the deep scan shorter.

It's a very robust Anti-Virus.
The detection rates of this program are unmatched in the realm of freeware. Other programs like avast! and AVG come close, but don't seem to come up the standards of detection and removal that Ad-Aware has. This program has a smooth interface, user friendly menu system, and flexible scanning options. Ad-Aware also has a good scheduling feature (one that surpasses AVG's and one that avast! lacks) and has a satisfactory level of support on their forums and in the manual. Top-tier program. Pros: Best free anti-virus out there!
Cons: Starting a scan is easy but not as straight forward as in AVG or avast! and it puts a slight strain on your computer if you have a really old system. Also, I recommend downloading from the publisher's site which will allow you to read up more on the product.

Awesome program. Blocks a lot of issues in real time..
Great anti-virus program. Never had a problem as long as I've used it(for over 1 year now).It detects trojans. I had some trojans and it found them. I wouldn't rely heavily on real time protection anyways. You should scan any file that seems suspicious that enters your computer. The real time detection does find viruses, but the scan will find them also. This program does catch most bad stuff. I had 6 trojans, and the scan found them. Great program. It's very low on memory, and doesn't slow your computer much. I used lavasoft for a quite a long time. If ad-aware can't delete it for you, well you can manually delete yourself. Point is it does find them for you. It healed my computer of the trojans though, so I didn't have to do that. Pros: No problems. No complaints. Just really tired of these fruity critics.
Cons: None yet...Dont bog down my comp which is good

We must not forget one thing: this is a free program. You can not expect a free program to do everything for you.But if you want a completely free protection, for sure you must get additional protection Pros: When the rubber meets the road, this program does its job, and at a very reasonable price which is free.
Cons: Low download speed at updates, but could be my Internet connection also.

Free and easy to use, no matter what computer you have .Easy and simple update blocks undesired contents, and doesn't slow down the PC. Doesn't take forever to complete a full scan and it's free. Cons: Low download speed at updates, but could be my Internet connection also.

I have been a computer user for years and totally without any form of training, so I cannot be a computer literate. However I have tried
a number of forms of free and paid-for services to keep my computer free of viruses but none have proved to be as "ruthlessly" efficient As Ad-Aware Free Antivirus +. I like the new and expanded features added on to this version. I have been using computers since windows 3.0 and shortly I adopted Ad-Aware as my primary line of defense against malware. Have had no reason to switch to another company since. All I've done during the time it was just shorts tries with another brands. Cons: None. I have nothing detrimental to add to blemish a "Stainless Steel" performance.

No perfect AV in the world but this one works!.
So fast,I don't know what they done to the program but it feels so much faster now. Computer works like a charm after I installed the program. Fast and very effective scanning engine. I have used other anti virus software and Ad-Aware was introduced to me late in 2009. I will never e-mail, facebook or playing without this program. A nice product. First full scan took me 5 hours, but the second full one was like a charm. Very fast!

Nothing better!!!.
You can not want and ask more from a free antivirus. The often updates provide us more protection and high level of security. No money cost for this version. Keeps my computer running clean and have been using it from a few months without any problem. I do not have a wireless connection to see if after installation it will get lost (Many users are reporting this issue and could be true) Cons: Deep scan slightly long!

Excellent free security that provides a superior defense..
Robust security suites, not a memory hog, very quick scans, excellent antivirus detection and more importantly, prevention. Extremely effective. Pros: The only problem that I would like to see go away, is to pay after 30 days for the pro-version. I'm not a pro then…
Cons: I have used Ad-Aware for a couple of months and the software has greatly improved. No cons from me.

It's surprising how accurately and thoroughly ad-aware scans..
For real, this program worked and works for me like a hunter against the spyware and viruses.I'm a home user and this software its just fine. Maybe for the advanced users the program it is not good enough. I don't know , is just a guess. If you want free use this one or avast or avira. If you want the best, you have to pay for the best and then you go for Norton Internet Security. Cons: I do not realy know what to say

So far so good. Good for a free one..
This AV is in my opinion the best one around. The program is so easy to use. I am informed and kept up to date. I know when other programs need updating. For me there is no other AV that can touch this. Less intrusive and as more effective than many of the paid for alternatives. It's free and the updates are quick and let you know what they are doing. Cons: Doesn't offer a lot of configurable setting for the advanced user.

Good antivirus with standard premium features.
If you pay for a security suite, you'd expect to have the premium features, and Ad-Aware does provide you with a wealth of features to help you customize how it runs. do not see any reason to pay for this product however unless you really care about getting updates quickly. The main advantage over paid security suites and free ones is that they get updates for new threats faster than the free suites do. personally would not pay for this product, but I can say that it does do it's job quite well and has made some significant progress in the last few months. Cons: Please take out Blekko!!!!

Overall nice product!.
Ad-Aware is very good at blocking and preventing malware with the Active Protection feature.Has a good scanner that detects and removes malware. A very easy program to install. I'm felling very good to know that my computer its safe. I never had any problem with this software since version 9. I couldn't ask for more.

Very low on memory usage!!!.
I have been using avast since the day I found it.. I heard about it from a friend of mine.. I generally use the free version.. but it's better than several paid products of other antivirus companies.

Amazing outstanding and very effective.. (except the firewall).
Even in the free version, you get a good protection. It seems to require less CPU/RAM than other antivirus programs which I tried. A quick scan took me about 16 min and the full scan took 54 min. I was surprised about the RAM usage. Ad-aware eats up around 12 MB when running a scan. Also, for the first 30 days after installation I have a premium product.

What Happened to Ad-Aware?.
I have used Ad-Aware for years, even upgrading to the Pro line but do not plan to renew this year. I have had a series of bot. attacks and my computer has been infected several times this year. Ad-Aware offered a one time clean up of my system for an additional $124.00 or a partial year through spring of 2014 for $175.00. I chose the $175.00 option and just recently (approx. 3 months after initial cleaning I called to have the service performed again and after two phone calls was advised I had paid for a one time cleaning! I checked the billing statement and the company had charged me the one time fee. I declined the second cleaning of the system and picked McAfee and after running the program...all my problems were fixed! Guess who gets my business!
Pros: Ease of use.
Cons: Customer service lacks and the techs tend to have heavy accents

Don't buy-install Ad-Aware 11!!!!.
Version 10 was fine - no problems. Version 11 is crap. Their support people want me to pay them $300. to fix non-existing performance issues to fix an Ad-Aware Real Time Protection error! Classic bait and switch from a company I no longer trust.

Never Again.
Paid for two computer Pro version 11, installed on Windows 7 and Windows 8 laptops. Nothing but trouble windows 7 tells me antivirus not on. Blocks internet connection windows 8. Told by support to wait until update release December 11th. have uninstalled and purchased other antivirus that works. Rubbish

Save yourself major headaches, don't install..
Never will use again. I was considering buying the higher level of Ad Aware, but first thought I would uninstall the free one. Run another free brand and then install paid item. So far it has taken close to 20 hours to uninstall the program--and I am less than half way through. Save yourself major headaches and never install this program.
Pros: seemed to find viruses other programs did not
Cons: Very time consuming to uninstall.
