I like using Ad-Aware because it updates threat definitions very often and it is very easy to use. You can choose smart system scan or a full scan. Once it finishes scanning you can check out the report and it separates low risk threats from the big ones. That way you only quarantine the real dangerous stuff.
The only downside is that it always slows down my PC considerably. For some reason I need to leave it running for a good half hour for it to finish the process.
